REMEMBER WHO HOLDS YOU. Part 02

How kind of him to use us. How wise of us to remember.
The Apostle Stephen remembered. And since he remembered Jesus, Jesus remembered him. As stephen's accusers reached for their rocks to stone him to death, he looked toward Christ. "Stephen, full of the Holy spirit, gazed steadily into heaven and saw the glory of God, and saw Jesus standing in the place of honour at the right hand of the Father" ( see Acts 7:55)
Stephen's message echoed like the pounding of a kettledrum in the assembly hall. "Our ancestors forgot who brought us here. They forgot who carried us. They turned away from God, and now you've tried to put him in a box!", Stephen challenged their big heads with a huge point: You've forgotten how big God is.
The council stood in anger. "They gnashed at him with their teeth" (vs 54). They...stopped their ears and ran at him with one accord; and they cast him outta the city and stoned him.

Stephen stood on behalf of christ as he charged those Jewish religious folks, and in the end, Christ returned the favour.

IN YOUR DARKEST MOMENTS

And the bible says, “…at the fourth watch” (according to the Romans, it’s the time spanning from 3am – 6am) of the night, which is the darkest time. They say “darkest before dawn”-that’s the fourth watch. In the darkest period , “…he looked down and he saw them, he saw his disciples rowing against the wind”.
