Doesn't this sneak up on you?? *Part 02*

We come to God humbly.  He works the miracle of salvation. He immerses us in mercy. He stitches together our shredded souls. He deposits his spirit and implants heavenly gifts and fruits. Our big God blesses our small faith. We understand the roles. We need a big God because we have made a big mess of our lives. Gradually our big God changes us. And gratefully,  we lust less,  love more, lash out less, look heavenward more. We pay bills, pay attention to spouses, pay respect to parents. People notice the difference. They commend us. They applaud us. They promote us. Admire us. Appoint us. We--who came to christ as sinful, soiled and small - accomplished things. We lead people, organisations,  deliver the confused out of depression and the sick out of disease. Speaking of which, I am thinking about a person right now... A very close friend (more or less like a brother to me), used to be a notorious sinner - so to speak. About two years ago while in college, was nicknamed "

Doesn't this sneak up on you???! Part 01

We begin our spiritual journey as small people. The act of conversion is a humbling one. We confess sins, beg for mercy, bend our knees. We let someone lower us into water of baptism. We begin as self effacing souls. Timid children who extend muddy hands to our sinless God. We relate to the thief on the cross, identify with David's forgiven adultery and find hope in Peter 's forgiven betrayal. We challenge Paul 's claim to the chief - of - sinners title,  wondering if anyone could need or treasure grace as much as we do. We come to God humbly. No swagger, no boasts, no "i-must-be-really-spiritual" and "all by myself" declarations. We flex no muscle and claim zero achievements. We lift up soiled hands to God as we would a crushed flower: "can you bring this to life?"          **********                 See Part 02          *********

GO FOR LIGHT

Jesus pointed out that because believers are children of God or children of the light, they are in the world BUT not of the world. (John 17:14).  The devil can also rule over us if we "unknowingly" through ignorance of God's  word or "willingly" give him permission to rule over us. That's why the Bible tells us to walk in Light! The Night is far spent, the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast off the "works of darkness" and put on the ARMOUR OF LIGHT.  (Rom. 13:12). Be ye not equally yoked with unbelievers,  for what has light got to do with darkness? II Cor. 6:14 FEED YOUR SPIRIT! DON'T STARVE IT. Just in case you've been starving it, it's never too late to start feeding it...   -JESUS LOVES YOU .

DON'T MISTAKE INTENTION WITH ACTION

WHEN YOU MOVE, MOUNTAINS ARE REMOVED! Today: 2016-07-14 All the difficulties that are hanging around you now are simply waiting to see your action. When you start moving they will move. Stop talking about your beautiful plans and the things you hope to do soon. Start doing something now! “Soon” is a language of deception. It keeps people hoping endlessly until they waste. If you introduce massive action into your life, in a short while, you will become a man of your dreams. The Bible says concerning the disciples, “They went forth everywhere, the Lord working with them…” (Mark 16:20). God’s help is available in its fullness for those who take steps. Even in the natural, when you start taking steps, you become a rallying point, people become eager to help you. A great door and effectual is opened before you and God will not take away the adversaries. You have to discipline yourself to keep your eye off the adversaries, focus on the open door and keep moving towards it. Tha

How many humble folks will Pray this ?????

Heavenly Father, every breath is a gift from your hand. Even so, I confess that sometimes my own hand remains tightly closed when I encounter the needs of others. Please open both my hand and my heart that I might learn to open my door to others. As you help me open my heart and hand, O Lord, I ask that you also prompt me to open my life to those who need a taste of your love and bounty. In Jesus' name I pray,  amen. Now that you've just read through, Kindly pray it.                              How many humble folks will Pray this

"God allows me to participate in some phenomenal things around the world"

HOW TO IDENTIFY TRUE HUMILITY .  Humble People ... *Ask for help when they need it. * Are quick to forgive, difficult to offend. * Are patient with  People. Galatians 6:1-5 *Are peace makers. " Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. " Rom 12:16-17 *Know when to be quiet * Are always the First to apologize * See their weakness, and are ready to admit their faults. *Don't brag.  It was Joyce meyer that  said "God allows me to participate in some phenomenal things around the world, but I can honestly tell you I've trained myself to not think about them too much because that's the stuff that gets you in trouble. For example, when we were in Zimbabwe, we had a really successful Festival of Life conference. But God didn't do it because of me; He did it to help

FEAR IS A FEELING

Fear is a Feeling! Just because you feel fear doesn't mean you 've to be afraid. Now hold on, I know that might sound absurd or meaningless - that might take a minute to sink in. You can feel fear and not be afraid, you can feel fear and yet not react to it, you can feel fear and still take a stand of faith. ( ¡ want you to get this).  It 'll also interest you to know that fear is a spirit. Now once you feel fear, you shouldn't let it control you. Here's what I just realised, - you can actually set your mind that whenever something bad comes up, you're not gonna throw your hands in the air, become unstable and panic.. no no no. You can set your mind  (like program it aforetime) in any direction, you can set your mind for either victory or defeat Don't bow down to fear! Let your FIRST response towards any threat or challenge be SEEKING GOD. God 'll always lead, guide and direct you, yes! I 'm talking to you. He'll do that when you go to

"I never wanted to be rich, all I wanted was....."

It's very important that as you run towards your dream and goals, that you learn how to create well. I am not talking about loving money. See, I believe that lack of money is the root of all evil. People steal for money, people kill for money, people go to jail for money. Every time the unemployment rate goes up, in those areas where the unemployment rate is high, that's where we have the  largest incidence of crime and violence. When ever the unemployment rate goes up 10% in our community, ten thousand women and children are battered.        "I never wanted to be rich, all i've ever wanted to do was to be comfortable"... then i realised in other to be comfortable, you got to be rich!   Let me tell you what money does.. No. 1 : It gives you control over your life. No. 2 : It gives you options. No. 3 : It allows you to live a life of contribution - to contribute to the things you feel strongly about especially in this era Peter drucker calls " th

Most Effective Tactics To Overcoming Lust

Sometime around April last year, while waiting on the lord...he took me to the book of Jude where he showed me these vital keys on Overcoming Lust. I hope it's of help to you. 》 Be led by the spirit.  Romans  8:14.  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 》Pray in the holy spirit. Jude  1:20. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. If you ain't baptised in the spirit yet, pray earnestly from your heart - but dont stop there. You MUST crave for the inner filling of the holy spirit (because he helps us when we're limited ) 》Keep your self in the Love of God.  Jude  1:21. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Faith worketh by love, that is love empowers our faith. And with Faith, all devils are subject to us.  Ephesians  6:16  "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the f

PRAYERS THAT AVAIL MUCH 1

My Father,  I desire that attitude of John the Baptist might be my own - that Jesus would increase even as I decrease. Give me an ever-larger picture of you so I might see myself with ever increasing clarity and revel each day in your amazing grace . Keep foolish pride far from me and give me the sense to humble myself in healthy ways that bring strength and joy to everyone around me. In the precious name of Jesus christ. Amen!

REMEMBER WHO HOLDS YOU. Part 02

How kind of him to use us. How wise of us to remember. The Apostle Stephen remembered. And since he remembered Jesus, Jesus remembered him. As stephen's accusers reached for their rocks to stone him to death, he looked toward Christ. "Stephen, full of the Holy spirit, gazed steadily into heaven and saw the glory of God, and saw Jesus standing in the place of honour at the right hand of the Father" ( see Acts 7:55)    Stephen's message echoed like the pounding of a kettledrum in the assembly hall. "Our ancestors forgot who brought us here. They forgot who carried us. They turned away from God, and now you've tried to put him in a box!", Stephen challenged their big heads with a huge point: You've forgotten how big God is. The council stood in anger. "They gnashed at him with their teeth" (vs 54). They...stopped their ears and ran at him with one accord; and they cast him outta the city and stoned him. Stephen stood on behalf of christ

REMEMBER WHO HOLDS YOU. Part 01

The greatest example of humility is none other than Jesus christ. Hold it right there. Before you assume you know what this is all about, Read on. Speaking of Jesus, Who had more reason to boast than he? Yet he never did. He walked on water but never strutted on the beach. He turned a basket into a buffet but never demanded an applause. A liberator and a prophet came to visit him, but he never dropped names in his sermon. He could have. "Just the other day I was conferring with Moses and Elihah." But Jesus never thumped his chest. He refused even to take the credit . "I can do nothing on my own" (John 5 vs 30). He was utterly reliant upon the father and the Holy spirit.  "All by myself"? Jesus never spoke such words. If he didn't, how dare we??   We can rise so high but never stoop too low. What gift are you giving that he did not first give? Speaking of which, my greatest motivation for giving(especially offerings)is "Every thing I have today

GROWING IN CHRIST AS A BELIEVER

It's not enough to give your life to christ. The journey doesn't end right there, infact it just BEGUN. There are certain principles and instructions you must heed to as a believer or new convert in the faith in other to make the most of your christian sojourn. Among many, a few as shown me by God are as follows... ▪ Mind/Tame your tongue: The tongue is a very powerful weapon at the disposal of a believing christian. The bible clearly stated "life and death are in the power of the tongue". Proverbs 18:21. Don't say "I am having a bad day", say "I am having a character building day" 'cos your words have a way of affecting your life. So watch what you say about people, about yourself and situations that you find yourself in. ▪Be Meek and Humble: According to Paul's epistle to the galatians, some where around the fifth chapter... he clearly elucidated the fruits of the spirit among which are "meekness of heart" and &q

THE SEVEN F's YOU MUST NEVER NEGLECT

THE SEVEN F's YOU MUST NEVER IGNORE ● Forsake sin. ( The wages of sin is death! ) ● Fear God. ( Fear him more than you fear rodents, snakes and 'roaches )  ● Have Faith. ( Without faith you can never please God. Heavenly resources can only be     bought with faith) ● Flee from evil. ( They have nothing benefiting to offer than death itself.) ● Fast and Pray. ( Prayers are granted answers speedily when we fast, plus our flesh is    subdued thereby putting our spirit in charge over it.) ● Forgive if anyone offends you. ( Unforgiveness hinders our prayers from getting answers.     This may be hard sometimes, but the more you practice it, the easier it becomes) ●Follow hard. ( Follow hard after Jesus because he only can give you a life that's free from     Sorrows, failures and disappointments)       ☆Remember JESUS LOVES YOU☆

Food for thought

See, I believe strongly teachers, tutors and our educational body have a major role to play in the bright and colourful future we are anticipating. They might not be able to bring out the great accomplishment, dreams, seeds of greatness that are domicile in these pupils/children.  But they can "produce" and impose the required force needed to push and stretch these young minds towards the fulfillment of their God ordained purpose. Just like an orange, inside of it contains about 69.7 mg of vitamin C...but the orange juice would never get into your body to provide it the nutrients it needs until a force is applied  (squeezing). These young ones have talents yet to be discovered,  purpose yet to be known and acted upon. (Try to imagine)...what if just one out of the millions of children in your nation discover their potentials and work zealously with all the support needed, we could have a Greater bill gates, Greater Ben Carson. ..who knows?

Mystically true

If wealth was the secret to happiness and a life void of sickness, diseases and trouble, then the rich should be dancing on the streets.  But only poor kids do that... ( more coming on that )

All roads...

"All road leads somewhere whether thin, narrow or broad. The path you decide to take determines where you will end".                                                    - Victor Obiekwe Afamefuna (VOA)
